Echo360 (ALP) - Uploading and Creating Slides in a Presentation

Echo360 ALP allows you to Import Slides, Upload Slides, or Create Slides (Blank or Media) to a new or existing presentation. This allows you to add and merge slides from existing powerpoint documents or presentations from your library, you can also add media.

Step One: Locating the presentation


Echo360 ALP allows you to import, upload and create slides to both an existing or new presentation. Below are steps to locate your existing or create a new presentation.

1.1 Locating your Presentation


1. From the Dashboard, select All Contents and locate the presentation.

2. Hover over your content and click the three dots to open the menu of options.

 

3. Click Edit Media.

4. Once you are editing the presentation, you can choose to Import Slides, Upload Slides, or Create Slides (Blank or Media).

1.2 Locating your Presentation from your Class List


1. From the Dashboard, click on the relevant unit to open the class list for the course.

2. From the classlist, click the icon for the presentation you want to edit to open the menu of options.



3. Click Edit Presentation.

4. Once you are editing the presentation, you can choose to Import Slides, Upload Slides, or Create Slides (Blank or Media).


1.3 Creating a New Presentation


1. From the dashboard, select Courses and pick your desired course.

2. From the class list, locate the class to which you would like to add the presentation.

3. Once you are editing the presentation, you can choose to Import Slides, Upload Slides, or Create Slides (Blank or Media).

Step Two: Uploading Slides


1. Click Add slides. The options for adding a slide appear.

2. Select Upload Slides.

 

3. Click Choose File and navigate to your content on a computer or by connecting to a cloud storage option.

 

4. The selected file is processed and each slide appears at the bottom of the editing window. Select the pages/slides you want to add to your current presentation and click on Move Selected to Presentation.

 

5. If you have not selected a slide in the existing presentation, the selected slide/s will be moved to the end of the presentation.  If you wish to place a selected slide within the existing presentation, click on the slide preceding the space you want the new slide/s, the outer edge will turn blue, then choose the new slide/s to insert. 

Note: If you upload a previously created PowerPoint presentation, it will divide into slides for you. 

Step Three: Importing Slides 


Once you upload or create a slide in Echo360, it stays in your library so you can import it to one or more presentations within your classes and courses.

1. Click Add slides.

2. Choose Import from Library.

3. The Select content from your library window appears.

4. Select the slides to import into this class. If you cannot find the slides you are looking for, enter tags into the search field.

 

5. Click Done. The imported slides appear in the class.

Note: You must have added tags to the slide to use them as search terms here. 

Step Four: Creating a Blank Slide


You may want to add a blank slide to your presentation to use it as a whiteboard.

1. Click Add slides.

2. Click Create a blank slide. A blank slide appears in your slide deck. You can drag and drop it where you want it to appear within the presentation.

Step Five: Creating a Media Slide


A media slide contains content from a web page or an image. You can create a media slide by simply specifying a URL. Echo360 then auto-embeds the content of that web page into the media slide.


1. Click Add Slides.

 

2. Click Create a media slide.

3. Enter the URL associated with the content you want to include or select the Upload an Image option and choose an image (JPG or PNG) to upload.

 

4. Click Done.
