Assessment Icons
This guide describes the icons used within VU Collaborate assessment tools (Quizzes, Dropboxes, Grade books and Rubrics), to assist in managing their use.
Assessment icons:
Quiz icons
Tip: hover your mouse over an icon to display their name.
| Icon | Name | Meaning |

Hidden from view | Students are unable to see the quiz. |
 |
Grade Item |
The quiz assignment is linked to a grade item in the grade book. |
 |
Password protected |
This quiz requires a password before students can start it. |
 |
Release conditions |
There are conditional requirements that students must satisfy before they can gain access to the quiz |
 |
Special access |
There are students who have access that is different from others, such as a longer time to complete. NOTE: Do not confuse the password-protected icon with the special access icon |
Dropbox icons
| Icon | Name | Meaning |

Hidden from view | Students are unable to see the dropbox |
|
Grade item | The assessment dropbox is linked to a grade item in the grade book. |
 |
Group submission | This is a group assessment. It will be marked by group name or number and the same score and feedback will be released to each student in that group. |
|
Release conditions | There are conditional requirements that students must satisfy before they can gain access to an assessment dropbox. |
|
Special access | There are students who have access that is different from others such as an extended due date. |
 |
Turnitin enabled | This assessment will be submitted to Turnitin. |

The grade will only be available for viewing for a specific time. |

Rubrics icons
| Icon | Name | Meaning |
|---|---|---|

Rubric association | The rubric has been associated with another assessment item and cannot be deleted |
 |
Rubric linked assessment | The rubric has been used to grade the linked assessment and cannot be deleted or edited. |
