VU Collaborate Training

This session walks participants through the process of using primary communication tools such as News and Discussion Forums.

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

Create News posts and learn how to add media elements
Use strings in News posts which will personalise the message for students
Create Discussion forums and topics to encourage student discussion and conduct assessment tasks

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

Locate the Virtual Classrooms tool inside a VU Collaborate Space
Create a Virtual Classroom and understand the various settings and conditions available to staff
Access a Virtual Classroom and know how to conduct a session using the Virtual Classrooms tool

The Learning Environments team will be conducting regular drop-in-sessions for staff to come along and discuss any issues that they are experiencing within VU Collaborate with our staff. Sessions will be an hour long, broken into 15 minute blocks to discuss individual participants problems.

Running time: Each issue will be allocated 15 minutes of the 60 minute session.
