Getting Block Ready
- When are Delivery Spaces created?
For Block units, delivery (teaching) spaces will be available two weeks before your teaching period starts, and five weeks prior for Placement units. For details, see the VU calendar. - How are Delivery Spaces created?
After delivery (teaching) spaces are created, all content from the master (template) space is copied in. - How long do I have to review my space?
You have one week to review your space, before students gain access. - When can students access the Delivery Space?
Students are added to the space after creation, but they can only view the space one weeks before your teaching period starts, and four weeks prior for Placement units. - How do I review my Space?
Work through the four checks (Assessment, Space Admin, Content, and Communications). Make a note of the checks you need for your space and place it in location that you and your teaching team can easily access next time. For example:
-
- Assessment 1 & 2 Dropboxes - add due dates
- Assessment 1 - upload the assignment template to Turnitin, to exclude matches in the similarity check
- Zoom Classroom - Create weekly zoom sessions
- Teaching team - enrol staff into the space
- Padlet board - in session 2 & 4, clear all posts
