Synchronous Communication tools can be used for managing communications occurring at the same time. The synchronous communication tools included in VU Collaborate include virtual classrooms with Zoom and Zoom video conferencing.

Asynchronous Communication tools can be used for managing communications when messages are sent and received at different times. The asynchronous tools available through VU Collaborate include email, news and online discussion forums.
